The Opportunity
DyeRecycle has developed a proprietary, non-toxic technology that removes dyes and contaminants from colored textile waste — transforming material that would otherwise be burned or downcycled into high-quality recycled PET (rPET) ready for fiber-to-fiber recycling.
Founded by Imperial College London researchers Aida Rafat (CEO) and Professor Jason Hallett (CSO), DyeRecycle's technology has been validated by Cranfield University, Centexbel, and the RISE Research Institute, and the company has run paid pilots and is negotiating development agreements with major global brands.
Our Investment
DyeRecycle was one of three high-potential opportunities sourced through Imperial Enterprise and presented to Angelumni members in December 2025. Following a structured due diligence and scoring process, members selected DyeRecycle as the strongest opportunity and formed a syndicate to invest.
Angelumni members provided $100,000 in early-stage funding via a SAFE note, ahead of DyeRecycle's broader seed round — giving the company useful early capital while it completes its larger financing.
